We don’t wait for outside organizations to fix problems, our members design and lead the solutions themselves, using the bakery as a platform for good.
Every owner at 24 Karat Bakery Co-op has the opportunity to create or join a community project.
Members propose ideas at monthly meetings, vote on which ones to fund, and then organize the work together, often partnering with local schools, nonprofits, and small businesses.
We set aside a portion of bakery profits and community donations for these initiatives. That way, when customers support the bakery, they’re directly supporting the projects too.
Each co-op location chooses its own focus, so every neighborhood’s needs are met in its own way.
